Smug Cat

When I drew this pattern, it was supposed to be a bear. Once it was finished though, I realized that it is definitely a cat. He wanted a scarf so he could be more hip, but I think it makes him look smug. What a jerk.

Supermangirl

Superman got tender today, and decided to embrace his feminine side. We made him give back the dress, but we let him keep the flower. 

I made Peanut a matching diaper cover for this dress today. I just happened to have bought a big sheet with matching orange and pink flowers on it a few weeks ago, and then last night my MIL showed up with this dress which did not come with a diaper cover. It was perfect in a very nerdy way for me.  Superman would be wearing it in the photo if his hips were a little bigger, but then that would just totally ruin his image. 

Firsties!

I laid out my first quilt yesterday. On paper, of course. This one's going to be a gift, and the lettered areas are going to be quilt blocks with photos printed on to them. I'm really hoping I did this right, because my quilting experience is nonexistent except for a tiny patchwork practice quilt I made for no other reason except to get the basic quilting skills down. Now comes the part where I pick out fabrics that will hopefully coordinate with the pictures. Also, making my own quilt binding by hand. Should be interesting!

She has recently taken as interest in them. She reads a bit differently than I do though. She tends to use her mouth. Maybe chewing on the words is more satisfying than reading them? 

Momma Made...

...A birdy shirt for the little lady a few days ago. And a matching headband. She just learned how to pull headbands off her head though, and apparently how to stretch them out so far that they can't go back down to their original size. Also, she dribbled food on the shirt a short while later, and the stain decided not to come out in the wash. So, they were fun and cute while they lasted! Thank God I took pictures when I did.

Thumper

In honor of our purchase of Bambi on DVD, we got her her very own Thumper yesterday. Well actually, she picked him out. We held up this Thumper and a Minnie Mouse doll, and she grabbed Thumper. Good choice. We watched Bambi today.
