Bundled.

We went out to run a few errands. We bundled her up in her cozy car seat cover. She was sleepy. She's awfully pretty when she's sleepy.

Goodbye, Awesome Tree

Today was the last full day with our awesome tree. This was our first real Christmas tree together. No more of that plastic nonsense. It looks pretty darn good if you ask me, and seeing as how it went up just a few days before Christmas, I don't think the end of January is too late for it to come down. We'll miss you, our fine needled friend!

Out to Eat

We went out to eat (Buffalo Wild Wings, nom!) and Peanut got to see her uncle. She loves him.

I Made a Diaper Cover.

And it is covered in peanut butter and jelly. I can't wait to see it on the little lady's bum.

Happy Raisin Baby

My peanut was very stylin' yesterday while enjoying her pear oatmeal cereal. She was pumped about it, too. The bib was a gift from a friend's mom, whose Etsy shop has lots of cute goodies. Go check it out!

My Favorite Janxmas Present

Janxmas = Christmas in January.
My awesome niece, Karleigh gave me that sweet fishy painting on the right side of the photo. She made it in school and I love it! I can't wait to frame it, but for now it makes a beautiful addition to my sewing room wall art!

Sleepy

I love taking pictures of my husband sleeping. Creepy? No, I'm his wife.

Never Run Out of Flour

FYI: If you do not have flour, and you decide to do a search for flourless brownie recipes, and you also do not have semi-sweet chocolate, here are some tips:

1. Cocoa powder mixed with vegetable oil is not a good substitute for semi-sweet chocolate.

2. Do not listen to some internet random who say to "use 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa powder plus one tablespoon of shortening in place of each ounce of chocolate.

3. Do not take that to mean that you can use vegetable oil in place of shortening.

4. Make sure you actually have all the stuff for the recipe you are using, instead of being short 1 egg, 1/2 cup of sugar, and one teaspoon of vanilla extract.

5. Do not just go ahead and add in some yellow cake mix to this preposterous substance and throw it into the oven for an unspecified amount of time.

If you do all of these things, you will end up with a dry, crumbly, way too dark chocolatey pan of brownie garbage that can only be eaten with a spoon, out of a bowl, and only if you really like yucky darker than dark chocolate and you have a gallon of milk to chug after each bite.

Thanks for listening.

A Great Big Pot of Nipple Soup

Yep, it's nipple sanitization day, hooray! Every nipple and nuk we own went into a pot of boiling water. Guess what's for dinner?!

I Love it When it's Flaky

Man, I love it when it snows. Especially when I get to spend a lazy day inside with my two favorite people and lots of coffee.

Intently watching as the Packers destroyed the Falcons. 48-21? No problem.

Pancakes are Stupid

The first two pancakes (which I made for my husband) turned out perfect. This one, not so much. I had eggs instead.

You Don't Know Jack

Ah, memories. I used to play the "You Don't Know Jack" internet game (when it was free!) back when I was a wee middle schooler, and thought it was the greatest thing of all time. Then I got this glorious electronic masterpiece for Christmas and realized that IT was actually the greatest thing ever. My mom and I dug it out of storage at her house today, and I brought it home and dusted it off. With a few new batteries it works like a charm, and I am once again filled with childhood glee.

Gingerbread Man's New Sleeping Bag

I'm glad I could help out my little wooden buddy. A failed Nintendo DS case (not quite tall enough!) makes a comfy little pouch for this little dude... just not his arms.
