FYI: If you do not have flour, and you decide to do a search for flourless brownie recipes, and you also do not have semi-sweet chocolate, here are some tips:
1. Cocoa powder mixed with vegetable oil is not a good substitute for semi-sweet chocolate.
2. Do not listen to some internet random who say to "use 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa powder plus one tablespoon of shortening in place of each ounce of chocolate.
3. Do not take that to mean that you can use vegetable oil in place of shortening.
4. Make sure you actually have all the stuff for the recipe you are using, instead of being short 1 egg, 1/2 cup of sugar, and one teaspoon of vanilla extract.
5. Do not just go ahead and add in some yellow cake mix to this preposterous substance and throw it into the oven for an unspecified amount of time.
If you do all of these things, you will end up with a dry, crumbly, way too dark chocolatey pan of brownie garbage that can only be eaten with a spoon, out of a bowl, and only if you really like yucky darker than dark chocolate and you have a gallon of milk to chug after each bite.
Thanks for listening.
